Will an Epoxy Floor Survive Utica Winters and Road Salt?
Bare concrete soaks up salt and cracks over the winter. A real coating shrugs it off. Here's why.

If you live around Utica, you know what winter does. Salt, slush, and freeze-thaw chew up bare concrete a little more every year. The good news: a proper floor coating is built for exactly this.
Salt is the real enemy
Road salt gets dragged in on your tires and sits in puddles under your car. On bare concrete, that salt soaks in and breaks the surface apart over time. A coated floor has no pores for the salt to get into. It pools on top, and you wipe it up with a mop.
Freeze-thaw and your slab
Water gets into bare concrete, freezes, expands, and pops the surface. We seal the slab so water can't get in. The polyaspartic topcoat we use stays flexible enough to handle temperature swings without cracking.
The catch: prep has to be right
A coating only beats winter if it's bonded to the concrete the right way. That means diamond grinding, crack repair, and a moisture check before anything goes down. Skip that and any coating fails. We don't skip it.
